3.5 mm Locking Plates

    This implant system functions as an internal fixator with minimal implant to bone contact and allows the choice of a fixed angle construct or an angled cortical screw (up to 7 degrees) in the same hole. The fixed angle construct transforms axial loads into compressive forces along the fracture site, which helps reduce gap length and strain.

    The reduced spacing between holes increases the number of screws that can be inserted per fragment. The scalloped undersurface helps maintain uniform bending and torsional stiffness, which helps reduce stress risers and vascular trauma.

    The tapered end design helps reduce iatrogenic trauma for minimally invasive percutaneous osteosynthesis.

    *Note: In circumstances where locking and cortical screws are used, insert cortical screws first to minimise plate – bone distance.
